Power Factor Correction Banks

For plant loading that is constantly changing, resulting in the need for varying amounts of reactive power at any given time, a centralized automatic power factor correction bank is the more effective and economical method to bring the power factor up to the target.

An advanced microprocessor-based reactive power factor controller measures plant power factor via a single remote current transformer (included), and switches capacitor modules in and out of service to maintain a user-selected target power factor as needed. Additional modules are available that can extend the functionality of the power factor controller
